Orthodox Jews and the New York City Election

The emerging Bukharian vote.

In November, New Yorkers will face a complex four-way election that favors the socialist, militantly anti-Israel Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani. Two center-left candidates—the incumbent Eric Adams and the former governor Andrew Cuomo—plan to run as independents, while the Republican candidate, Curtis Sliwa, has the slimmest of chances of winning. Thus Mamdani need only get 40 percent of vote, or even less, while the rest is split among the other three.
