Blue Ridge Mountain Jews.

In America, Orthodox Jews overwhelmingly prefer to live in places where there are Jewish schools, at least one synagogue in walking distance to their homes, a mikveh, and readily available kosher food. If possible, they would prefer a selection of kosher restaurants, a kosher grocery store, an eruv (an elaborate legal fiction that allows for carrying outdoors on Shabbat), and other amenities.
