Why Iran Is Trying to Destabilize Jordan with Drugs and Guns

A stepping-stone to taking over the West Bank.

One reason the West Bank has not devolved into a terrorist hotbed like Gaza is the IDF’s ability to operate there freely. Another is that Jordan, which shares a long border with the territory, has been far more effective than Egypt at preventing the influx of arms. But it’s not as if Hamas and its Iranian patrons haven’t been trying: on Sunday, a West Bank terrorist killed a security guard with a hammer and stole his gun.
