How Not to Confront Religious Anti-Semitism

Jews shouldn’t debate Christian theology.

The current upsurge of anti-Semitism on the American political right is often expressed in religious terms, and to some extent is tied up with a struggle to change the direction of Christianity in the U.S. Jeff Ballabon urges Jews to avoid the temptation to wade into these intramural Christian debates, which, he writes, is “a lousy communications strategy, poor public relations,” and “a good way to alienate friends and inflame enemies.” Rather, the job should be left to philo-Semitic Christians, of whom there is no dearth:
