Antonin Scalia’s Favorite Talmudic Law

When unanimity means that “there is something fishy going on.”

The late supreme court justice Antonin Scalia was known for stunning intellect, pungent prose, lively questioning of attorneys, robust efforts to advance conservative jurisprudence, and—off the bench—his devout Catholicism. And perhaps it is no surprise that someone so committed both to law and to intellectual combat, and who worked with so many Jews during his career, should also have had a deep appreciation for the Talmud.
