Why Parisian Jews Encouraged the Church to Burn the Books of Moses Maimonides

The philosophical, and halakhic works of the great Jewish theologian, rabbi, and doctor Moses Maimonides created great controversy in the years after his death, especially in France. In 1232, anti-Maimonideans in Paris reported the rabbi’s works to Dominican friars—who burned them en masse.
