A similar argument appeared in the magazine Vulture in November, in what Phoebe Maltz Bovy describes as “a big-ideas-style feature about how North American Jewish literature is insufficiently about Jews self-flagellating over Israel’s role in the Israel-Palestinian conflict.” And now there is yet another version, by one Andrew Kreuter, in a Canadian literary journal. Bovy comments:
