Shiites Are Turning Their Backs on Hizballah

It lost the narrative because of “military defeat.”

While Israelis are watching the situation in the Persian Gulf with concern—and monitoring their phones for alerts about incoming ballistic missiles—they are also looking north to the operation in Lebanon. Many worry the fighting will end too soon, leaving Hizballah wounded but not beaten; others worry that the IDF is again being drawn into protracted engagement in Lebanon without clear or achievable strategic goals.
