Palestinians Want Real Reforms for the Palestinian Authority

On November 20 of last year, a member of the Palestinian Authority (PA) police shot and wounded an Israeli soldier in Samaria. The incident is a reminder that, although the PA is very different from Hamas, it is not at all a reliable or even pacific institution, and certainly not one that Israel would want ruling Gaza. U.S. media reported yesterday that next week President Trump plans to announce the membership of the board of peace that is to supervise of the governance of the Strip, and there has been much talk of a “reformed PA” taking part.
