Last week, newspapers reported that Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia have told the U.S. that they don’t want their troops to participate in peacekeeping efforts in Gaza after the war ends. Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, at least, remain open to involvement. But even if such a force could be assembled, it would bring with it a host of problems—as would the alternatives. Avi Bell and Cole Aronson argue that there is only one force that can keep the peace, and that’s the IDF:
