Israel Has No Stores of Rare Minerals, but Can Benefit from Their New Centrality

A diplomatic and economic opportunity.

To build the sophisticated devices that have become crucial for both everyday life and the functioning of modern economies, it is necessary to use a variety of metals and minerals, some of which are quite rare and can only be found in a few countries. Access to these raw materials is becoming an increasingly important realm of competition between the U.S. and China.
