Iran Officially Joined the Russia-China Axis

A forum for sanctions busting, domestic oppression, sharing military technology, and opposing the U.S.

On July 4, the Islamic Republic became a full-fledged member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)—alongside China, Russia, Pakistan, India, and several Central Asian former Soviet Republics. The SCO serves in practice as a political and economic counterweight to the U.S.-led alliance systems in Europe and the Pacific.
