In the Eyes of the Catholic Church, God’s Covenant with the Jews Remains Unbroken

A faithful Catholic will be careful never to accept anti-Jewish animus masquerading as criticism of Israel.

In 1965, the Second Vatican Council issued a document titled Nostra Aetate, which repudiated the accusation—long believed by many Catholics although never official doctrine—that Jews were responsible for the death of Jesus, and condemned anti-Semitism in general.
