Recently, the Dearborn, Michigan city council considered a motion to name an intersection after Osama Siblani, who since 1984 has been the publisher of the town’s bilingual newspaper, The Arab American News. Edward Barham, a local pastor, voiced his objection at a September 9 public town-council meeting, on the grounds that Siblani is an unapologetic supporter of both Hizballah and Hamas.
