A right to grandchildren?

In May, the Knesset held a preliminary vote on a bill that would create a formal process for allowing the parents of fallen soldiers to preserve the sperm of their children for use in artificial insemination. Ethan Bronner talks about efforts to get the new law passed, and speaks with its supporters as well as with Ludmila Rozhkov, whose granddaughter was born through such a procedure. Ludmila's son, German, was killed by Hizballah in 2002, at the age of twenty-four, while serving with the Nahal brigade. (Video, 21 minutes.)
