Sanctimony on the high seas.
On Sunday, Greta Thunberg—the twenty-two-year-old daughter of Swedish celebrities who made a name for herself as a teenage totem of radical environmentalism—set sail with a group of activists for the Gaza Strip. Their craft is supposedly laden with food and other supplies, and their aim is to “break the Israeli blockade,” in response to what Thunberg describes as the “systematic starvation of two million people.” Brendan O’Neill comments:
Sanctimony on the high seas.
