Ending the Israeli Rabbinate’s Monopoly on Kosher Certification Will Strengthen Religious Observance

Transparency and competition will help reduce corruption and other ills.

Currently, the Jewish state gives the chief rabbinate the exclusive right to certify restaurants and packaged foods as kosher.
