Richard Dawkins and other prominent figures have in response resigned from its board. Based on her own experiences as a vocal leader of ex-Muslims, Sarah Haider finds the kerfuffle all too typical of what she calls “organized atheism.” Her reflections call to mind the quip, often attributed to G.K. Chesterton, that the danger of the decline of Christianity isn’t that people will believe nothing, but that they will believe everything:
