A Father’s Story of a Family Taken Hostage

Last Friday, Yoni Asher said goodbye to his wife and daughters—ages four and two—as they went to spend the holiday weekend with his mother-in-law at Kibbutz Nir Oz. The next morning he learned that terrorists had attacked the kibbutz, located in southern Israel. He later told his story to Adam Rasgon:
